I completed my undergraduate studies at The Juilliard School and am currently a Graduate Performance Diploma student at the Peabody Conservatory. Notable recent performances include a performance of Souvenir de Florence with Vadim Gluzman and Brahms String Sextet No. 1 with Robert McDuffie. I have spent summers as a fellowship student at the Tanglewood Music Center and Aspen Music Festival. About Violist Alaina Rea has recently been appointed as the Assistant Principal Violist of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. Alaina completed her undergraduate studies at The Juilliard School as a student of Heidi Castleman and Steven Tenenbom. She is currently a Graduate Performance Diploma student at the Peabody Conservatory where she studies with Victoria Chiang and Choong-Jin Chang. Notable recent performances include a performance of Souvenir de Florence with Vadim Gluzman and Brahms String Sextet No. 1 with Robert McDuffie. Alaina has spent summers as a fellowship student at the Tanglewood Music Center and Aspen Music Festival, and has substituted with the Cincinnati and Baltimore Symphonies. ​ I am passionate about teaching the next generation of young musicians. While a graduate student in Baltimore, I was a violin and viola teacher at Baltimore Bows, where I taught private lessons, group classes, and assisted in the orchestra program.
