A.J. has been playing keyboards for 30 years, and he has been singing for 15 years. He has also been working in the music industry as a professional performer for 18 years. He has worked and toured with bands such as: ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, The Bright Light Social Hour, and Scorpion Child. A.J. can teach a wide range of keyboard skill sets: organ, piano, rhodes, analog synths, digital synths, software synths, Ableton Live, midi setup and routing, music production, beat making, and more. A.J. is a professional vocalist, and can teach traditional vocal training or how to achieve the "rock vocalist" style of singing. A.J. can teach songwriting, music production, music arrangement, and how to be in and operate a touring rock band. A.J. has a wide range of experience in the industry, so he can teach anyone how to go beyond their instrument, and develop their music into a professional career. Teaching history: A.J. taught music lessons for 4 years at Band Aid School of Music in Austin, Texas, and since then he has been teaching lessons online and at his studio in Austin.

As a cover band player untrained in piano or organ, all of my skills need improving--rock organ soloing, fingering and chording techniques, patch selection, and more.
