I'm currently a student at Eastman School of Music, majoring in Piano Performance. I began taking piano lessons when I was two years old and loved every minute of it. I enjoy working with children of all ages, and strongly believe that if there is a desire to learn, the age at which you begin does not matter. I began teaching private piano lessons in 2014, and I have enjoyed it ever since. I have a passion for sharing my love of music with my students. I like to make my lessons fun, engaging, and informative so the students can get the most out of every lesson. I was taught using the Suzuki method, and I incorporate parts of that method into my own teaching. I like to learn what other interests my students have as its easier for them to relate to something they are familiar with. As a piano student who also had a passion for ballet, I appreciated it when my piano teacher found similarities between a musical gesture and ballet. it made it easier to understand what she was teaching me, and it was significant enough that I remembered it with ease.
