I'm a Pittsburgh native who currently studies jazz performance at The New School in Manhattan. During the summer I network with different musicians in the pittsburgh area. I enjoy many genres of music, including jazz. I studied under Erik Lawrence from 2012-2016. I would like to give lessons. I'm interested in teaching more than just sight-reading and repertoire. I would like to give students a clear perspective on the underlying principles of modern music in order to help them create and improvise their own personal material. Students will know how and how not to practice. I will do my best to offer them the tools they need to perform in various musical situations. Most of all, I look forward to sharing my love of music.

I'm an international student and I took my first lesson with Aaron. He was very good teaching me with the consideration of that English is not my first language! I picked up quickly the frets and the string number names! He gave homework to do at home!! You won't regret it if you shose him. Aaron was very patient with me especially with my broken English and my poor background about music. Good luck everyone!

Aaron has a great commnad of the flute and made it real easy for me to play with him. He has a great ear and knowledge of music theory which makes it very easy to play with him in any setting. He is very patient and can take any song and expand it to new depths.
