Hello! My name is Aaron and I have been playing drums since 2001. I started in my garage beating pots and pans, so my parents decided to rent a drumset and I was immediately hooked. Shortly after, I began taking lessons and was fortunate to have an excellent instructor, which has been a big motivator for me to provide the same joy and knowledge I had given to me when I was young. Besides drumset, I also played marching tenors while at Washington State University, and was on the Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline from 2014-2018. I was the tenor section leader at WSU for three years, and also for Blue Thunder for two years. I also had the opportunity to march several years of drum corps, marching the 2009 season with the Seattle Cascades, and aging out with Arizona Academy in 2010. I've helped many people who don't have any musical background learn basic drumset concepts, and I've taught several people formal drumset and marching percussion lessons.

Taught technique and overall approach to marching multi-tenor drums. We learned a new show for every home football game, so reading music was a must, and I would aid students in becoming more comfortable with the music for every show, as well as teaching them correct marching technique and drill movements.

Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline

This was an amazing opportunity. We only rehearsed once a week and had quite a large repertoire of music, so practicing on your own was a must! (hint hint, students). The drumline consists of 10 snare drums, 5 tenors (that's me!), 8 bass drums, and 7 cymbals. Besides the games, we played tons of gigs throughout the year ranging from weddings and birthday parties in peoples' backyards, to large corporate events with Microsoft and fancy auction events. I've also had the opportunity to record with some high profile clients through Blue Thunder, and I loved every minute of it.
