Veroslav is the consummate piano teacher--dedicated, patient, caring and encouraging. He has been teaching my nine and six year old children for the past year and a half and they have made significant progress under his tutelage. He is firm and exacting, but also kind and praising, when praise is due. Veroslav has an individualized approach to teaching—he is able to connect with children and tailor his teaching style to the temperament and aptitude of each child. Veroslav chooses pieces of classical and contemporary music that would not only be enjoyed by his students but would teach them particular skills. His lessons include a wide diversity of skill development through level appropriate performance and practice books. We are extremely happy that Veroslav has been our children's piano teacher and are looking forward to working with him in the years to come.

We’re very happy we found Veroslav! He’s friendly, and patient, and very knowledgeable and proficient. Kids love his lessons, and I can see the progress already (we started in October). Would definitely recommend him!

Kathryn comes with two important strengths. First, she is a working professional, with excellent technique and musicality from real world experience. Secondly, she is patient with students like me who are still figuring it out. Those two things make for a great teacher.
Amanda Testa-Oerth
Kathryn has helped me in my musical journey for a very long time! Over the 15 years I have worked with Kathryn she has been a teacher, life coach, and now musical colleague. Kathryn's teaching style is always warm and very informative. She builds confidence on something I did well, then gives me recommendations on how to improve either a technical skill or with musicality of the piece we are working on. After every lesson, I come out feeling improved and more confident than when I went in. Kathryn has guided me in both classical and musical theater pieces as well as introduced me some very interesting contemporary songs that I have greatly enjoyed. With her guidance and instruction, I have grown into a musician that is confident in my own abilities for preforming and a caring instructor to my own students. I highly recommend studying with Kathryn if you have the chance. It is a fantastic learning experience every class!

Kathryn is brilliant and exceptional. If I could give her more stars I would. She is an amazing teacher no matter what age or evel you are from beginner to pro.

I have been teaching piano almost as long as I have been performing, coming up on 10 years. I started teaching beginners when I was just a teenager, and as I learned more about pedagogy and about piano myself, I branched into teaching more advanced students. To date, I have taught lessons to over 100 different students ranging in age from 5 to 70, and ranging in skill from complete beginner to college piano performance major.

Not every student is going to think I’m the best fit for them. I expect consistent practice, completion of assignments, and attention to detail in music. I have had many trial lessons that don’t pan out because the student or parent thinks my expectations are too high for them. Make no mistake; I expect a lot, but I also care deeply about music and have great understanding and sympathy for those who genuinely try. Whether your goal is to learn to read music, improve rhythm, learn to play the great classical repertoire, or simply have a good time learning the ...

About Kessa

I received my BM in piano performance from Brigham Young University, studying under Dr. Richard Anderson and Dr. Irene Peery-Fox. While there, I studied pedagogy from master teachers Dr. Irene Peery-Fox and Dr. Jared Pierce, who taught me both how to run a studio and how to manage individual lessons

Excellent. Nothing gets by her; very helpful.

I had the opportunity to work with Kessa when we were both in undergrad and I was trying to decide whether or not to become a music major. I was feeling pretty discouraged with my current piano teacher at the school and talked with Kessa since we had a class together and I knew she was a piano major. I had a few lessons with her and she gave me so many helpful ideas about how to approach my pieces and improve my practice habits. She was very kind and didn’t make me feel bad at all, but still pushed me hard in those lessons because she believed in me. Even though I ended up deciding not to go into music after all, I still value those few lessons I had with her and recommend her to everyone at any level.
Marissa
Kessa is a very professional and talented piano teacher. My son loves going to lessons and we love hearing him practice such pretty music. We're impressed with Kessa's ability to explain confusing concepts and to encourage my son when he is having a tough time. She's done so well with transitioning to Zoom lessons during the pandemic and we love being able to have lessons from home.

I bring to teaching piano an unrivalled Juilliard education, international performing and recording career, and 18 years of experience teaching students of various levels. In teaching, I see myself as my students' partner dedicated to helping them realize their full potential as budding musicians and performers. I am encouraging, enthusiastic, patient, and flexible in teaching adults and children of intermediate and advanced levels. I love finding the right individual approach with each of my students, so that they stay motivated and inspired while growing in their musical understanding and mastery.

I strongly believe that a chief tool enabling progress in all aspects of musicianship is focused listening, and see my role as a teacher to guide students in developing power and sensitivity of aural perception through concrete steps and activities. I'm deliberate in selecting and assigning a repertoire that challenges students with appropriate techniques and allows them to ...

Gabrielius is infinitely patient, highly skilled as a teacher and pianist, and has the rare ability to correct while encouraging improvement. I have had 4 lessons with him so far, and already am playing far better than I could have imagined.
I recommend Gabrielius highly to anyone interested in learning to play the piano either for personal pleasure or even performance.

Gabrielius is a wonderful piano teacher to our daughter. He is professional, reliable, an amazing musician. We are very happy to have found him on TakeLessons.
Cristian S.
Gabrielius teaches calmly with lots of patience, and the results are fantastic. I've seen tremendous improvement just after a few weeks, and I find his way of teaching focuses on the things that will have the most impact on your playing. He's not a teacher that will drill you endlessly, but will find easier and more organic ways to learn and love the pieces you play. I'm excited to continue my lessons, and I'm falling more and more in love with playing, practicing, learning and listening to piano.

My voice and piano lessons focus on developing a healthy technique, learning how to sight read, music theory, breathing exercises, acting, and having fun. I've been learning piano with Linda for a few weeks now and I feel I have a greater understanding for music theory already! She has an immense passion for music and easily translates it into her lessons.
She Is very patient and will work at your pace; a trait I did not find in my previous teachers. I absolutely recommend you at least sign up for her free consultation - you have nothing lose!

Linda is a great voice teacher who is very kind and engaging. I have learned a lot from her about how to use my voice, technique, and am improving every week as a singer. Our lessons are fun and I feel respected as a non-binary student. Linda creates a warm and welcoming space for everyone to feel comfortable as they learn about their voice.

"He is GREAT at making me understand theory, which I never have. He's also exciting and challenging in learning how to look at music and anticipate/understand where it's going versus my habit of only looking one note ahead at a time. I wish he was a little more interested in teaching classical music, but I also understand that the new stuff I am learning from him will greatly improve my playing of that."

"I was very interested in piano when I was in college, but I didn't have any background in piano. I took several piano lessons from Ben. He was always very patient and detailed in explanations. He also incorporated music theory to help me improve my understanding of music. I wanted to learn Canon in D, but it was too hard for me. Ben rewrote Canon in D to make it easy enough for me to play. After a few lessons, I learned the whole music!

Ben is also qualified in GMAT training and proofreading. Ben helped me with GMAT grammar, readings, and critical reasoning. He was exceptional in grammar! For the proofreading, he went point by point and gave valuable suggestions. He explained every correction to me to make sure I understood all of them."

Not only does Ms. Orlia have all of that, but she helped to instill a pride and love for music in our son as well. Her knowledge of piano theory and the inner workings of the piano itself really engaged our son, and he looked forward to lessons every week with Ms. Orlia! She tailored each lesson to his interests and questions, and met him on his level each week. Anyone would be lucky to have Ms. Orlia as their piano teacher!"
