30 Years experience. Areas: Editorial - Magazine, Photojournalism, News - Covers, Features, Lifestyle, Concert, Photo/Digital Illustration. Commercial, VIP, Celebrity, Red Carpet, Real Estate, Event.

I can cover just the photo/camera end for you. And, or, can teach you the digital computer skills you need to bring you images to the next level.

I will teach you how to reveal your own photographic "eye". That is, now to use the camera as an extension of your expression, how to take what you see, and put inside a frame.

I teach photography concepts from the art form, and from basic through advanced technical and aesthetic.

You will learn how a camera lens is much much more than just a zoom closer/farther tool for your scene. The lens you choose is vital towards helping you achieve the vision you are bringing to your work. Camera exposure is similar.

I will also teach you how to "see" your scene or subject as "values" of shades of black, white, and the grays between. This ...

Richard is so patient and knowledgeable. I am very happy with our lessons. Because of my background with classical guitar he wondered if the fact that he doesn't read music and I am renewing my mind back into it would not be a good teaching set-up. Not at all. I now have an electric guitar and the five years spent playing classical, now fifteen years ago, did not give me a good foundation for understanding music theory unfortunately. I have a genre I had already picked out fingerstyle electric and now with some thinking my way through the basics I did have I still need to learn just basic strumming etc. I understand what he is referring to in music so we still speak in the same key. Also and lastly my daughter has a severe seizure/dementia disorder that is very unpredictable and our caregiver's mom just passed away so there will be times when I just can't do a week/day. He has been very understanding. I am smiling from my soul because music is my healing path for difficult stuff I couldn't pay any doctor/therapist to even call me back for. Thank you so much for your assistance. Sincerely Teresa

She takes her time to make sure you understand the concept of not just photography but the art behind it as well. She's very informational and is always willing to help you achieve what ever your goal with photography may be. She goes above and beyond when it comes to teaching she may pack alot on at once but if you can take notes and study them on your down time you can truly learn alot in a short amount of time."

Photoshop vs. Lightroom for Editing Time-Lapse Photography

You’ve composed your shot. You’ve made sure nothing went wrong. You’ve waited an hour for your camera to take 600 images. It was a long, painful process.
