I teach piano in the same manner in which I teach every instrument. First I teach students the rudiments of the instrument. Also I teach them how to read and a bit of music theory. From that point I like to follow the students lead. They bring in songs that they would like to learn, or possibly how to play a certain style like Funk, or Blues, or how to approach a classical sonata. At every point I try to point out general aspects of music that need to be learned from the material that they choose.

About John

Hello, Thanks so much for taking the time to inquire about studying music with me. Music and studying music has always been a passionate experience for me. I have been so blessed with the teachers and fellow musicians in my life. You should realize that your study of music may start with me,

About Kathryn

My experience with Kathy has been great. It's been roughly five months and I learned a lot and I'm also much more confident to sing. Learning the right techniques is crucial. Kathy is extremely patient and she adapts the classes to the student goals and aspirations. English is not my first language and she was also always very respectful and patient in explaining everything twice or maybe three times until I get it.

Kathryn has a terrific demeanor, and provides clear, thoughtful suggestions for technique!

Kyle is a great piano teacher! He is very patient with my 12-year old son. Just yesterday he referred to him as “fun Kyle” because he teaches him small songs on the side that he can show friends and family or are for upcoming holidays. He’s always punctual and respectful of our family and home. I’m grateful to have found him!

"She is Great teacher I ever had!!

I took her lesson for 2 years when I was college student.

I was little nervous before I met her, but her atmosphere made me relaxed.

I learn basic skill of Jazz piano techniques, which is chords structure and inversion.

Why I say she is great because she is tough!!
She explain over and over until I understand. Very slowly and use a textbook make me easy to understand. No angry, No yelling.
Sometimes I help to her to correction my pieces (compose) with explain why it does wrong.

Unfortunately, I back to my country so I would like to take her lesson if I possible."
