Bil is a great instructor. I was looking for an experienced Jazz pianist, as there are a lot of things about jazz you can only learn about someone extremely experienced. Bil doesn't disappoint- he explains things in a very intuitive and logical manner, on top of being extremely personable and enjoyable to learn from. I look forward to my future lessons with him.

About Tyler

I am a very passionate music teacher, it's really who I am. I thrive off of opening the doors of music to people and teaching them a foundation upon which to grow. I graduated from UMASS Lowell with a Bachelors in Music Performance in 2014 and have 6 years of teaching experience in and around the

Been meeting with Tyler for 4 lessons now and cannot give anything but the highest praise for him. Before we began we set the outline for what
I wanted to do and how he could help - the planning was good but the execution far exceeded anything I could hope for. His insight, technical ability, and highly positive attitude makes him the perfect partner to "re-introduce" me to the guitar (35+ year break in playing). Cons: initially opted for 1/2 hour lesson - too short. Pros: understands my goals, appreciates the musical genre that is important to me, great balance between teaching during the lesson and giving me things to work on on my own, very positive and encouraging attitude....and many more "pros". My suggestion is - if you are thinking of going with him give him a call - very easy to talk to and you will likely find out what I have found - Tyler is top notch!!

Ever wanted to walk up to one of those free pianos on New York City summer streets, but felt too insecure or inexperienced to try? I have had nearly two decades of personal piano experience. While I am primarily a classical singer, I believe that learning piano and the structures of harmony is at the core of all musicianship. Whether you are interested in playing piano for fun or learning piano as the beginnings to a career in music, I am confident that I can teach you a combination of piano and theory technique that will help you succeed.

About Rachel

I am studying to become a professional classical singer, and am enrolled as a Masters degree candidate in Voice and Opera at Mannes School of Music. Through my own training, I have discovered that having an amazing teacher – one who is supportive, caring, and hard working, and who will push you and

Rachel is a great vocal instructor and gave me the confidence to learn and discover my own voice. As a beginner with no experience in vocal training, I was able to learn the basics of posture, setup and breath and of course singing. I enjoyed lessons with Rachel and would highly recommend working with her.

Rachel is absolutely awesome. Makes me feel so comfortable which helps me to be 100% myself including my funny mistakes. I feel that I am learning and understanding music and singing a lot.
Olivia
Rachel was extremely patient and could figure out how to help a new singer like me navigate their body and find a true sound. Her positive feedback encouraged me to do better along with her comforting wit and humorous exercises that really made me open up. I believe she was the absolute best person to help me along and open up more than I had ever before and I think if she continues educating that she will do amazing things, and have fun all the while!

I have been playing piano as a secondary instrument for 15 years, and I love sharing my knowledge with others. Music is a passion and a learned talent that requires repetition and patience. I can help guide you toward whatever your music goals are, whether you want to play professionally, in a band, or just at home in your spare time.

In just a few lessons you will learn the basic keys on the piano and correct finger positions. As we go on you will be able to play scales and chords. Finally you will learn how to read music and play all of your favorite songs. I start with the legendary John Thompson's Modern Course for the Piano, Alfred's Piano Book, and A Dozen a Day Piano Book for kids. I teach classical, jazz, blues, and other styles of music. Both kids and adults are welcome. Take that next step in becoming a better pianist, and let's have some fun!

Thank you

She brings out the wonderful element of the love of learning music with my girls. Athena is so positive and encouraging. If I could give her more than 5 starts I would!! Thank you Athena!!

Rhonda is an excellent teacher. My daughter took her first trial piano lesson with her over a year ago, loved her and has been taking lessons from her ever since. She is so nice and patient, works well with kids, has a good way to simplify learning of more complex concepts/skills, keeps the student focused and encouraged, keeps lessons well-paced so that they are challenging yet fun and she tailors her lesson plan based on the student's needs and progress. We are so glad that we found Rhonda!"

"Our daughters have been taking Piano lessons with Doniell for 3 years.
They respond well to her teaching style and she challenges them in all the right ways. She offers a great mix of theory with the piano lessons.
We have enjoyed the annual Piano Recitals that Doniell's students participate in.
As a parent I have always found Doniell to be extremely responsive to our schedule for which i am always appreciative
I am looking forward to seeing their progress in the coming year"

"A born teacher

Bill is a remarkable teacher. After 22 years of not playing I am truly grasping music theory which is opening my ears and hands up to music in a way that I have never experienced. Bill's teaching style is mellow and exciting at the same time, he is clear with the information and can sense when I get it and when I don't. His communication relates so well to tangible examples that I am able to grasp that it is making the learning easy and fun. Bill is quick with praise and kind with corrections.I look forward to seeing him every week."

"For those who are interested in learning piano, and composition, I highly receommend Val. As a insturctor who is very skillful, responsbile, yet has a decency and caring heart. He will adjust to your comfortable level of education with a practical advices and sometimes assignments. Coming from very competetive Russian educational background, he understands a hardship and competetive nature. However, he is one of the few instructors who knows a good balance between a compsure and focused trainning. Having said that, I took a quite short lesson with him due to a limited time, however, I did feel productive and fun with his time. If you are determined to learn, I can tell you he would be the best choice!"
