I tailor my teaching approach to my individual students' needs, and help my students pursue the piano at the speed and level of intensity they desire. I am as happy to help beginners take casual lessons as I am to help more advanced students prepare for recitals and auditions. I believe that a varied dose of repertoire with a sprinkling of scales and exercises is essential to any pianist's success. Most importantly, I help my students develop musicality alongside their technical skills.

I have many years of research experience in educational technology and I use the outcomes while teaching. My students enjoy my new system which makes a great difference in their learning.
My lessons for ages between 4-6 are 30 minutes but I highly recommend 50 minutes of lessons for teenagers, and adults.

First thing I do before first day of class is send out an enthusiastic email and call shortly after. Briefly discussing and establishing the learning goals for the course based on the visual literacy, technical, and intellectual competencies the students should achieve by the end of a period is ideal for me to design the course or update an existing course for the student's desired outcomes. The syllabus and the schedule are completed along with a comprehensive strategy for what will take place during class. lessons include: physical warm ups, breathing exercises, vocal exercises and technical work, solfeggio (sight-singing), ear training, repertoire musical coaching , speech coaching, preparation for auditions and performances.

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

I thought, "What do I have to lose, nothing". So I signed up and I have to say after meeting Paul and taking, now 3 lessons, I find that I finally found the instructor for me.
Paul is very attentive to my learning needs and is very accommodating in adopting his teaching style to fit my learning style. I am a slow learner, as well as, a sight learner (in other words, I have to see what one is explaining for me to understand) Paul has taken his time with me to show and explain everything to me.
Paul encourages me to ask questions and he will take the time to answer any question that I have and if I don't understand, Paul will explain it differently to me until I understand. Paul has a vast knowledge in music, Piano and other instruments which is very reassuring to me.
I know I have made the right decision to take my lessons with Paul. I have to say, I will finally be able to achieve a dream of mine that I have had for the past 35 year, and it's all thanks to Paul.
Thank you so much, Paul!!!"
