I have been using my Canon DSLR camera for 4 years now, primarily focusing on shooting architecture and landscapes. I can teach the basics of how to frame a shot using simple rules such as the rule of thirds, and more technical terms such as shutter speed and aperture settings to create proper lighting settings and depth of field.

I have been a professional photographer for the past 8 years, providing portraiture, retail and commercial photography services. Additionally my studio facilitates photography workshops on various subjects as well as providing mentoring services for new and up and coming photographers. I structure my lessons to make sure students learn the skills they are hoping to learn while providing a strong foundation in photography fundamentals, technique, and creativity.

Basics such as the exposure triangle, how to compose and pick your shots, different uses for the tools found in Photoshop and Lightroom (post processing), how to effectively use lighting, and much more. As time goes on you'll be able to retouch and stylize your photos, to give them that professional look you have been wanting. All you need to get started is a camera and your eye. A life long student of Photography myself, I have made my living as a professional Photographer for nearly 10 years. In addition to Shooting I have been teaching and helping others hone their craft for the past 4 years.
Many people want instant results but photography is a process. Despite the experience level of the photographer my goal is teach something new. Be it a concept or technique at the end of the session you will be one step closer to your goals.

Had been taking photos for the last 35 years and worked professionally for almost twenty, I had my own studio at home and have a professional working studio for you to not just take your photos but also learn how to manage and edit them right away. You will have professional equipment to use such as lighting, 36mp camera, full frame lenses, laptop to tether and a strong desktop top of the line Apple computer to edit. Photography has been a lifelong passion for me. As my journey continues, I enjoy working with students and clients on making great images and helping them to achieve their artistic vision. I love to share the tips and tricks that I have learned along the way as both a professional photographer, but also as a teacher and as a student of light.

Experienced photographer that has worked professionally in many areas including travel, fine-art, news, and sports action. I have extensive darkroom experience in both B&W and color and have transitioned those skills to Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop in the digital post-processing world. Many of my images have been printed in various publications, on many websites, and in art gallery exhibits. I teach beginner to advanced students on how to take and process great images in private tutor sessions, group lessons, and on workshop field trips. I also custom print images, and scan and retouch/restore old photographs and negatives.

Learning photography is partly learning that it is combination of art and science and working to understand those qualities and how they work together. It's a really rewarding skill to have. It's very satisfying to have the confidence to go to an event, a family gathering, a wedding or birthday party and know that the photos you take can be offered to be shared with others.
The art is is in learning about the 4 c's of photography - color, composition, cropping and creativity. The science is in learning about the math that governs shutter speeds and apertures as well as something about the properties of light. Did you know that light has a color temperature and that it is measured in degrees of Kelvin? That's why photos taken indoors in florescent light have a greenish cast - they are a different color temperature (a cooler one) than those taken outdoors.
