Drawing Lessons in Lamar. Amazing Teachers.

We will learn how to draw from real life/still life to paper with graphite, ink or charcoal. We will understand line forms, shading styles and line control. We will gain a strong foundation understanding of using basic shapes to get final images.

To draw is to be fearless. If you are interested in drawing from life, then I can assist by teaching you the basics or show you how to improve your skill set. I work as a professional artist and have a great deal of knowledge about materials and processes. I enjoy working in ink, pencil (graphite and colored), charcoal, and pastel (oil and soft). I am also into combining media. I have taught for over a decade and my students range in age from children to senior citizens.

My name is Timothy and I have been drawing for 30 years (pencil, pen & ink, colored pencil, and oil pastel). I enjoy sharing my art experience with others, no matter what age, no matter where you are beginning. I can begin with the simplest subject matter in drawing, like cartoons, and advance you into more advanced subject matter such as portraiture and drawing from life. My training is a balance of self taught instruction and my art teacher, John Gordon, the designer of the Green Bay Packers logo!

I have been really good at drawing growing up. This is something I have always been good at. I have started drawing before I could write or even speaking, thus I get really surprise when I meet people who think they don't have the ability to draw. I get even shock when I meet people who are afraid of drawing. I believe anyone have an inner artist on the inside ready to be liberated. I believe all you need is a bit of inspiration.

I can teach drawing at any level. My goal is for the student to improve and work towards their desired achievements -- whether it's just to get better at drawing, work towards making a masterpiece, or putting together a portfolio to get into their desired art school.

In drawing, I'd work primarily in pencils or conte crayon. Otherwise the medium of choice could be digital (Photoshop or any similar digital medium).

I've been drawing since I was 4, and have graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts.

Margarita has been teaching art classes for over 10 years. She's obtained her art degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.

* In-studio classes- Group lessons for a max of 6 students per class. The art classes are designed according to Art University standards and curriculum, and best suit students with a big interest in arts. Each one of the students has an individual study plan assigned (taken into consideration the student's age, the level of art skills, and personal goals in art he/she wants to reach.) The lessons consist of an art lecture, an art project (drawing, painting, etc.), and homework.
