I have a degree and certification in violin and piano from the Boston Conservatory as well as a Master's Degree from the University of Maryland. I have had additional training and certification as a Suzuki teacher from The Suzuki Teacher Training Institute. I am a member of SAGWA-Suzuki Association of the Greater Washington Area as well as SAA-Suzuki Association of the Americas. I have played all around the world including the Vatican, White House, Paris, Russia, England and Wales as well as in Concert Halls such as Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center. I have taken students with me to perform as well in these countries and also every major concert hall in the Washington, D.C. area. I give my students opportunities to perform whenever there is an opportunity. In addition I work with students to earn music scholarships to private school
s and colleges. I am also a judge in the Young Artist Award in Maryland. In addition, I have received two White House awards for my performances at the White House, I am also a member of Psi Chi International Honor Society.
Music has been an important part of my life. It represents so much that is good in life and I do my best to communicate this to my students. I am training my students not just to be musicians but to love music for life.
*** Lesson Details *** I treat each student as an individual since everyone is different. For some I might use a traditional approach, some just the Suzuki approach and others a combination of techniques. Whatever produces the best results. My goal is not to make strictly classical musicians but to train students to love music and carry this love throughout life. My repertoire consists of everything including traditional, Suzuki, Disney, Showtunes, etc. I have taken students to perform little concerts at the White House, schools, hospitals and concert halls to get the real feel of performing. I view lessons as a three way relationship between myself, the student and the parent so that the parent is not left out. I even have a small group called Musical Magic which incorporates magic into music. I feel I am laid back but am able to accomplish my goal through positive reinforcement. Every child or student wants to feel good about his/her playing. If you believe in yourself, anything is possible. If you want online lessons, please contact me through Take Lessons since I have additional availability to teach online. In the past six months my students have performed for the National Humane Society at their animal ball, a multi teacher recital on a local stage, and just two weeks ago seven of them performed at Strathmore. This summer I have two more concerts planned. Coming up will be an all instrument graduation with several other teachers where students receive medals for their performances. No student is required to perform but if they want to the opportunity is there. All students are required to have an instrument prior to beginning lessons. If students need to rent a violin, I will provide you with the name of a violin dealer that both rents and sells string instruments. Piano students must have a piano or keyboard.
I have also started a toddler music appreciation program geared for the 1-4age range. The purpose of this program is to expose very young children to the fun of Music through instruments, songs and play.
*** Studio Equipment *** I teach at home and have both a grand piano and electric keyboard in addition to a harp and violin.
*** Travel Equipment *** When my students have to travel to perform, I make sure they have everything they need.
*** Specialties *** Traditional and Suzuki approaches for both violin and piano. I also teach children with learning disabilities.and have extensive summer programs to help students with auditions for youth orchestras and school orchestras. At this point in time I am only accepting beginner to intermediate level students.

.I am an experienced Scientist & Mathematics teacher looking forward to help you excel in your academic skills. With the academic and leadership qualities that you are looking for, I believe I would be able to contribute to the objectives.
I have completed my bachelors in New York Institute of Technology as a junior in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in December 2015. I am thrilled to know that you are looking for a tutor and I feel that this is the perfect platform for me.
As a result of my previous work experience in the Bobby & Tariq for 5 years, I believe I am well equipped with not only academic qualifications but also experienced in working in an energetic and dynamic environment. I have been also working as a Faculty under Cambridge CIE board of education.
An opportunity to be able to work will prove to be mutually
beneficial. While I will be able to gain further experience about the real-world applications of teaching, I believe that will also be a great addition to the working terms and contribute to your goals and objectives.
I am very enthusiastic about this opportunity and believe will be worthwhile for us to meet. I have enclosed my resume and would gladly answer any further. Please feel free to contact TakeLessons using the details mentioned.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
My experience with this tutor was great! Despite my schedule mishap the other day, he was considerate enough to reschedule. will see you next week with math.

Had so much problem with my basics. Akib has been patient and helped me clear things out. thanks a bunch!

This tutor does not fill the total time paid for. If the student has no more questions, rather than structuring the lesson like other tutors he will simply finish early! I am sure he is very knowledgable, but his accent is very strong, making learning a newer subject harder through trying to understand new words with a strong accent.
A fan was constantly ticking in the background, and he admitted his internet connection was poor.
SCHEDULE NOTE: This is a very busy time of year for me. My availability is quite limited, so please check with me prior to scheduling. I have set the automatic calendar very tightly so please ask if there's a specific date and time not listed that you're interested in booking. END OF NOTE
Hello from Seattle! I love teaching! For more than 40 years and I have been a professional photographer. I was the Team Photographer for the Washington Stealth pro indoor lacrosse team for three years, and teach photography at the Pacific Science Center, the Bellevue Club, The Leica Store, Glazer's Camera, Omega Photo and other locations. I have shot professionally since I was 15. My photos have been published in several magazines and I have three photos published in the New York Times. I was the mission photographer for the first private spaceflight
- Space Ship One, and the first ocean plastic cleanup system. I have experience shooting dozens of cameras from nearly every manufacturer. I often write camera, software and lens reviews for online sites. I am also a former employee of Apple in their advertising department.
I love teaching:
~ Photography 101, Basic Photography How To's ~ Learning How to Really Use Your Camera (Nikon, Canon, Sony, Leica, Panasonic, Olympus and more) ~ How to pick and use the right lenses for the task ~ Photos for your Online Store: Table Top Photography ~ Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop ~ Photo Processing, Editing, Storage ~ Basic Portrait Lighting ~ Travel Photography including making travel books ~ Black & White Photos from your Color Photos ~ Sports Photography ~ Printing Fine Art Photos ~ Color Management ~ Mac computer setup and optimization for photography
and other topics that may be of interest to you. I especially love doing a portfolio review with you where I give you honest critique and suggestions on how to improve your existing photos and think about elevating your new photos.
I like to start with new students by talking on the phone or emailing before our first lesson to get a good sense of your experience and your goals in getting more instruction in photography. I do not charge for this initial conversation once you have registered and scheduled your first lesson package.
Three of my students have gone from amateur to professional and are selling their work.
I am married (28 years!) and I have two boys - one in high school and one graduating college. I have several students in their early teens - I love teaching them because they're so motivated and unafraid of the technology.
We can do lessons together online using Zoom - we can see each other, hear each other, share screens and I can show you step by step how to do everything we cover! Zoom conferencing is free, there's nothing to buy, so it's included in my lesson prices. My students love our online sessions - we go at your pace and answer all the questions you have. My students range in age from 11 to 80.
I am most proud of this comment from one of my students: "There is a difference between teaching and mentoring. While the terms seem similar they are distinct in their approach to the recipient. Brad is innately both with the lessons I participated in. He is a teacher and a mentor.
He taught me but he also "brought me along". On one hand, he gave me excellent raw knowledge and technique but still, on the opposite side of the coin, gave constant reality-based feedback and pushed me without hurting my enthusiasm. He told me about his successes and shortcomings "once upon a time ago" and I didn't see him as infallible as many instructors want you to, I saw him as having lived a path, scouted it, and coming back to help show me the way. He didn't just tell me where I was going wrong, he showed me, then showed me how to correct it, then guided me through the process of correcting it, then followed up. Who could ask for more than that?
Brad is the total package when it comes to instruction. I am a better photographer for having studied with him. I am also making my dreams come true as a businessman. I owe most of that to him. I look forward to my next lessons, but honestly I more so look forward to what is behind the doors he will inevitably open up for me."
Hi, there! My name is Jean-Marc and I can't wait to meet you! I'm a software engineer. I have been teaching computer technology lessons since 2007 and have loved helping my students excel in programming, web development, and productivity programs. I went to The University of Wisconsin and earned a degree in Computer Science in 2017. My teaching style is patient, thorough and detail oriented. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
I am a Graphic Designer with a full time job teaching Photoshop and Photography in high school. After receiving many requests from amateur and professional photographers, as well as aspiring graphic designers, willing to learn the unlimited creative possibilities that Photoshop has to offer, I decided to join Takelessons and become a teacher here. If you would like to learn how to create literally anything your imagination leads you to, or just use techniques to obtain an effect you have seen somewhere, you came to the right place. You can discover the secrets of professional photo retouching or dive in the surrealism of advanced photo manipulation, Each lesson will be customized to your specific needs. On the other hand, if you are just getting started in Photography, Photoshop or Graphic Design, you have likely tried those You T
ube videos and gave up in frustration, as most of these videos are too fast or too advanced. No worries, we can go through the basics at your own pace, until you feel comfortable with using the tools on your own. The sky is the limit.
Note: in order to book classes for advanced techniques, students must have the necessary basic and intermediate proficiency levels. If you are not sure what your level of proficiency is, please check with me and we can figure it out together.
I am a graphic designer, photographer, and front-end web developer living in Brooklyn, NY.
I first discovered I love teaching others in High School. I took an independent study of Photography my senior year and basically spent the whole time aiding the other students with their projects.
In college, I noticed I was very ahead of most the other photography students in terms of understanding the different printing processes and techniques. I was always lending a hand with the projects when it was crunch time. A few kids even asked to reserve my time so that they could have me on stand-by during their shoot.
Now I have moved on to working for different design agencies and freelancing. I started doing web design last year and I love showing others how fun it can be to create a website once you get the hang of it!
I myself am an
avid learner which is probably why I love teaching!
Holly was awesome! She helped me get right into PS at the quick pace I wanted and she was great at answering all my questions. She also sent me lots of extra resources to help and even some homework so I could practice! I plan to do more lessons with her soon, highly recommended!!

Holly worked editing photos for my company to aid in advertising and Web publishing. I can only say that her work was impeccable. Every photo that she touched came back to us ready to go in formats that we could use directly or pass on to clients as part of an advertising portfolio. I only wish that she had stayed in Connecticut so her talent could further benefit my business.

Holly is patient supportive and knowledgeable with a good perspective on the subject matter and she is also prompt and offers constructive criticism that made my old ways seem more impactical than foolish.
I am a native Spanish speaker originally from Argentina, but I have lived abroad for the last 20 years. I have a Bachelor of Education from Melbourne University and a TEFL certificate from ITTT and I have been teaching for 10 years: 4 in China, 1 in Japan, 1 in Korea, 1 in Thailand, 1 in Taiwan and 2 in South America. 6 of them at private schools, 2 at public schools and 2 as a private tutor. I speak and teach only neutral Spanish without any accent or slang.
My primary teaching method is space repetition and I supplement it with a lot of role plays, improvisation activities, and a student-centered approach, making sure that the teacher talking time is reduced to 20% of the of the class time, so the student is the one who gets the chance to speak at least 80% of the time.
The technique I use, (spaced repetition) it’s not fun but it
works, I know because I have used it to teach myself Italian, German, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. I have several courses, like the one for travelers, where we learn everything we need to know to get by in South America or Spain: How to introduce ourselves, the numbers, how to ask for prices and buying things. Asking for directions, checking into a hotel, ordering a meal at a restaurant, taking a bus or taxi, and much more. Feel free to Google my name: "Bruno Maiorana" for more info about me and my projects :)
Hi! I'm a statistics/Excel tutor with experience in AP, undergrad, MBA, and calc-based statistics. I know statistics can be unintuitive, and I'll work with you to reach your goals. I'll explain concepts and questions in coursework using relevant examples and plain English.
I'm available for long term tutoring as well as immediate assistance. I'm also used to teaching/drawing diagrams on online platforms, and can guide you through the process.
I’m a graduate from Cornell University and a former Accenture statistical analytics consultant. I received my Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Operations Research.
While at Accenture, I’ve taught clients introductory statistics to give them the tools to understand business data. I enjoy teaching Math, Statistics, and general digital marketing/statistics. I also have experien
ce in statistical data mining and script programming using R.
I’m passionate about making sure my students are equipped with a deeper understanding of seemingly difficult topics. I like using a combination of visuals and situations relatable to a students’ interests. In my experience, abstract topics like Statistics tend to be easier to understand when people visualize a concept on paper or online.
In my spare time, I follow the NBA and NFL. I’m also a semi-professional hip hop dancer.
"Jay was super helpful and knowledgable. A really great tutor!"
"Donna is truly one of a kind person! I am so lucky to trust my instincts about Donna. She is absolutely an amazing person! I like to become a permanent
student as I have been interested in many subjects Donna masters. Also, I must say that Donna is a gentle tutor and being. She is a true precious gem."
"Jason worked with me during the first few weeks of my C/C++ programming course. C was incredibly difficult for me to grasp at first (I have 2+ years in Ja
va prior to this), especially with the concept of pointers and tracing. Jason was patient with me as he provided me different verbal examples of how to understand pointers (and how to implement that code). What was most helpful was how he helped me to learn to trace the stack while a program runs. The method was simple (using a dry erase board and creating the stack on a written table), but his patience with me and constant practice and reinforcement made the entire concept easy by the time I reached the end of the course.
I would use Jason again for tutoring in the subject of C, and also his knowledge of PHP."
"Etana has a great ability of knowing what is best for the individual. She's is very accommodating. What I love the most is whatever project I have, Etana
will help me with it and perfect it for me making it easier for me. But she is also very encouraging. If you have a particular project or just want an instructor that teaches you what you want to learn, she's your teacher! Very very appreciative of Etana! And very personable! I hope to meet her one day when I'm in her area! Or she's in mine."
"I still have a lot to learn, but Etana is my lifeline to establishing my blog. She is patient, loving, knowledgable and helpful beyond expectations. Tha
