From Classical to Jazz, and lots of World Music in between.
Guitar was my main instrument until I began playing Bass in bands in 2000. Since then Guitar is still my main 'go-to' for practice at home, teaching music theory, and composition.

David is a talented and extremely knowledgable musician. He has a deep love and respect for the music and imparts this love on his students. Always going above and beyond, he gives all of himself in his students, making sure they not only have proper technique, but a strong foundation of knowledge about the tradition of flamenco. He is able to breakdown and explain the complexities of this arcane art form in a way that is accessible to all levels of musicians. I couldn't recommend him more highly!

David is patient and enthusiastic about teaching how to play the guitar. He is also encouraging!

He is very good with me. I'm not a very good student. I have bad habits and I'm overly sensitive to criticism, yet he has not made me feel bad at all about my playing if you want to call it that. I also have a short attention span and can't read music fluently. But his patience is much appreciated, and each week get a little better at it all. I recommend him to those trying their best to sound a little better.

It was really good information and I had a lot of fun.

I have been taking fiddle/violin lessons from Marc for a few months now, and it has been a great experience. He is very patient and keeps things fun by helping me learn pieces that I am interested in learning to play. I would highly recommend him for any instrument you are wanting to learn.

Nothing is more satisfying than hearing yourself playing a song that moves and inspires you! With 15 years of playing guitar I now pass on that knowledge to my students. Helping people learn the fundamentals of guitar playing and music is both an amazing and invaluable experience. We will not only go over how to play the guitar but also music theory and how to write your own songs! I try to keep my lessons both fun and engaging as they are not just about drills and lesson plans but instead are catered to the individual student and what they want to learn. I teach all ages as it is never too late to pickup a guitar and start playing! I also rent out guitars to students just starting out who do not have an instrument yet for $5 a week and give advice on how to pick their first guitar! I am also available to teach online or in person!

"I've had 5 lessons with Alex and have already seen incredible improvement. Alex's methodology is to teach lessons but taking a song you really would like to learn, and walking you through the steps necessary to be playing it seamlessly and quickly. He throws in musical theory and other important elements of learning the instrument in there as well. I love that he always emails me a rundown of our lesson via email after the lesson so I can be reminded of things when practicing. He is extremely accommodating with his schedule, which I also really appreciate. Overall, it's been an incredibly enjoyable experience and I recommend Alex to anyone trying to learn!"

He was patient and helped me become a better guitarist and musician I ever would have become on my own."
