Flute Lessons in Silver Lake. Amazing Teachers.

In lessons, I will teach students how to develop an embouchure and make sound, have proper technique, discuss equipment care, how to read music and develop note recognition, and ultimately, play music. All of this while, challenging the student to expand their creative and intellectual capacities.

The goal is to get my students playing with proper technique, so that this will carry on throughout their career and playing of the instrument. After getting some sounds out of the instrument and having decent technique, students will be assigned 1-2 songs to work on each lesson. It is the learning of music on one's own, that I believe, truly challenges the student to continue to apply information given in lessons. My ultimate goal, is to equip my students with a sustainable and enjoyable approach to practicing and performing music that leaves them wanting to play more, and doesn't burn them out.

I'm holding a doctoral degree from USC in flute performance. I teach students at all levels, focus on various of repertoires such as band music, orchestral music,solo flute music for ABRAM/CM test or competitions.

I have been playing flute professionally for over eight years. My first performance was a production of "Chicago," and it opened up opportunities to play multiple woodwinds in all kinds of contexts.

Improve musicianship, phrasing and overall technique

My teaching experience includes students between the ages of 8 and 70. I believe in the individual approach and decide what music books and methods to use and recommend after the first few lessons with the student. Playing the flute is a great skill that lets you appreciate and express music. It also enhances your focus and the quickness of your mind since you think of a few things simultaneously while playing. For fun you can play your favorite song, compose one or play duets with your teacher.
