About Marc

I've been playing music since I was 14 years old. I studied classical guitar at State University in Buffalo, NY. and also studied guitar at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. I love just about every style of music. I mostly play Celtic, Bluegrass, American traditional, jazz, and classical. I a

He is very good with me. I'm not a very good student. I have bad habits and I'm overly sensitive to criticism, yet he has not made me feel bad at all about my playing if you want to call it that. I also have a short attention span and can't read music fluently. But his patience is much appreciated, and each week get a little better at it all. I recommend him to those trying their best to sound a little better.

It was really good information and I had a lot of fun.

I have been taking fiddle/violin lessons from Marc for a few months now, and it has been a great experience. He is very patient and keeps things fun by helping me learn pieces that I am interested in learning to play. I would highly recommend him for any instrument you are wanting to learn.

Learning music can be overwhelming but Jesse made the process equal parts exciting, artistic, and intellectual. He is able to explain concepts better than any music teacher I have ever had (and I have tried many). He was able to meet me where I was at, inspire me when I was struggling and encourage me when I was excelling. I look forward to my lesson with Jesse every week and he has guided me from being a hopeful, dejected fangirl to being a confident, well-rounded musician.
Jeremy
I'm so happy with how fast I have advanced learning to play. What I like the most is that I have been learning chord theory, technique, practice methods, and music theory, all at the same time. Jesse makes it easy to assimilate all this information by gauging your progress and giving you only the information you need to succeed.
Haley
I started learning how to play the guitar 3 years ago and I hit a plateau with my playing. Finally signed up to take lessons and I’ve been studying with Jesse for 7 months now and made more progress during this time than I had in the first 2.5 years of playing! He is always prompt, professional, and does a fantastic job teaching online (which can be very challenging for problem-solving). He is also a very caring teacher and wants his students to get what they want out of lessons. Highly recommend him as a teacher!

Music is the language by which we express ourselves when words fail us. As such, I don't think it should feel forced like a chore–it should feel freeing and empowering. Tell me what you want to learn! We'll learn whatever songs, styles, or genres you're most interested in and use that as a foundation to discuss best practices and common techniques for guitar or bass. For more intermediate or advanced students, we'll delve into music theory and the compositional/arrangement techniques musicians use to make your favorite music sound so good.

14 years of playing both guitar and bass and a degree from Berklee have taught me a lot. I've played rock, blues, country, jazz, funk, soul, R&B, pop, and just about everything in between. I'm a professional musician because I love music, I love what I do, and I'd love to share that with you.

About Andrew

I am a professional bass player and guitarist mostly gigging and recording around Los Angeles these days. I grew up listening to rock, funk, soul, blues, country/folk, and jazz, so that's mainly what I studied early on. I started my professional career when I was in high school playing upright bass

"The first lesson with Michael was fun. He has a great personality and doesn't sound like Ben Stein when he's teaching.

Micheal has a great way of communicating the lesson information through teaching principals, he has a wealth of music knowledge and recognizes my way of learning. I liked that the lesson was broken up into segments and he ensured I understood the concept before we moved on the next portion.

Micheal provided valuable feedback during the lesson and followed up with me via email. Included in the email was tablature and backing tracks to assist with practice.

I'm looking forward to our next lesson!"

"Great Experience with Glenn W.

I started taking guitar lessons from Glenn almost a year ago. It turned into much more than that. I was wanting to expand my abilities and "play list" in preparation for performing in my daughter's wedding ceremony which was June 29, 2013. After my time with Glenn I became a better guitar player, a better singer, and he encouraged me and helped me write a beautiful song for my daughter - someting I never thought I would do - so I am now a composer. Playing a song I wrote in my daughter's wedding was a life event for me and something myself and my family will cherish forever. It has been an awesome experience and I can never thank Glenn enough!!!"
