Guitar with Regis M.

Hi, my name is Regis. I've been teaching full time since 2007. I enjoy sharing my experience with players of all ages and skill levels. I read music and tab and can play by ear. I'm well versed in music theory and enjoy teaching fingerpicking. I'm very patient and understanding, and I love my job. I'm nice. So there's no need to feel nervous or intimidated with me. When it comes down to it, though, the only way to find out if a guitar teacher is a good fit for you is to try them out and see. I'd appreciate you doing so with me. And whatever musical path you choose, I hope it's fun and rewarding. I can and do teach students with special needs. I've had one student with autism for over three years. I've just signed up with Take Lessons, but here is one review with a current student, and I'll be posting more soon. When I first started taking bass lessons from Regis three years ago, I couldn't play at all. On our first lesson he showed me what a twelve bar blues was and how to play the rhythm by dropping the middle beat of a triplet. It was difficult, but over time those concepts became rudimentary. Now, after going through a vast array of material, I can play things like It Gets Funkier, by VulfpecK, and Wayward Son, by Kansas. My goal now is to go to music school and become a producer and composer. I also plan on continuing Bass lessons with my teacher. Griffin Lee.
