Hey everyone! I am so excited that you are thinking about taking piano lessons! Here is a little bit about me: I graduated with a Bachelors from Oregon State University in Piano Performance and accompanied vocalists, instrumentalists, choirs, and musicals during that time. As the former pianist for the Oregon State Wind Ensemble, I have toured around different places in Oregon, Hawaii, and Japan. I am currently working with vocalists at Portland State University and teach piano lessons at a professional music studio in Tigard, OR (Oregon Music Academy), in addition to my home studio. All of the traveling I have done and all of the amazing people I have met are all because of the amazing musical community! Come be a part of this awesome world of music! I am a very relaxed and enthusiastic person. I believe the best learning environment is one that allows the student to have fun and enjoy playing piano, while also providing a high level of teaching. All of my lessons are tailored to each individual student in order to maximize the effectiveness of each lesson. My curriculum is based on Alfred and Faber and Faber Piano Adventures, while using a wide variety of supplementary materials that sparks the students' interest. Playing the piano is fun, so let's make learning how to play it as enjoyable as possible!
