Hello, it's so nice to meet you! My name is Veronica, and I'm going to teach you how to play the drums! The drums are one of the most exciting instruments to learn, and they are also one of the most fun to play! As a drummer who has been playing and performing for more than 18 years, I know just how much joy can be had from behind “the kit,” and I can’t wait to share my knowledge with you in a positive, nurturing, and professional environment. With my lessons, you can expect: ● A high level of attention, professionalism, creativity, and FUN! ● An immediate hands-on and contextual approach to get students playing their instrument as soon as possible while incorporating music theory fundamentals. ● Progress that is achieved at an individual pace. In our lessons, you will learn the following: ● A wide range of patterns and rudiments ● Proper grip and stroke technique ● An introduction to drum sheet music ● How to play to a metronome ● How to play dynamically and with feel ● Stage performance “dos and don’ts” ● How to improve coordination ● And so much more! Join me as I teach you the basic concepts of the drums in a hands-on and practical manner so you can start rocking out as soon as possible!

Hello! My name is Veronica, and I am a drummer, singer, and all around creative located in the heart of Connecticut. Working with children is my specialty, and presently I teach drums to children for a local music and arts school. I have extensive experience working with children in varying educational capacities and, additionally, I have had the pleasure of teaching the following live classes to people of all ages on the TakeLessons Live platform: Youth Sticking and Song Class, Kids Rhythm and Sing-Along, Teen Rhythm and Sing-Along, and Karaoke All-Stars! I have played the drums for 18+ years and trained with some of the best and brightest in the industry. One of my greatest achievements is being able to share my affinity for music and to witness that spark of joy that others experience when they learn something new. Ms. Veronica is knowledgeable, patient and courteous. She has a passion for the drums and it shows in her teaching. My son was nervous before his recital, but her belief in him and her encouraging words gave him the confidence to play - and he did great! She has been the best music teacher we have had thus far!
