Rich experience and patient teaching! Great!

Valerie is utterly fantastic. I’ve been with her, as a student, since the beginning of ALBS, and not only have I improved, but she has, and I have seen her firsthand build a small and _exceptional_ school. Her command of the material is masterful, and her growth in developing the school is a case study in how to do things right. With grace, poise, compassion, understanding, and humor, Valerie is an inspiration.

Valerie has been a great teacher. She was my first teacher almost two years ago and has already had me perform in off-broadway productions of Giselle and The Nutcracker. Ballet has shown me a new world where dreams and life intertwine into beautiful forms. Valerie was there for my first phone call, class, performance and more. She has always been great making classes available to even unshapely older bodies like mine. Valerie has taught me from the extreme basics to now the beginner. The classes are based around the ABT curriculum which allows me to learn standard ballet techniques. My classes with Valerie have always been a great experience. Through challenges, tears, laughter, and growing Valerie is the best teacher I have ever known. I now get to take classes with many other teachers and amazing students but my heart remains as Valerie's student. Valerie explores new choreography and twists on existing stories. She encourages growth at all levels of ballet. She even has allowed me to experience higher level company classes! Extremely challenging but again a great growth opportunity. I highly recommend Valerie as a ballet instructor and choreographer for all level and age students or professionals. Happy Balleting!
