Practice, patience, positivity, perseverance, and progress. These precepts help me to find excellence in my performance as a musician, and they will help you succeed at whatever musical goal you set. I intend to guide you toward success for yourself and help make the hurdles enjoyable. I emphasize listening, developing a strong musical ear, fundamentals, mindfulness, and technique. I recently finished my music studies at CSU Sacramento where I studied jazz performance, trumpet performance, improvisation, arranging, and theory/composition. I am proud to have held the lead trumpet spot in the top jazz band for the entirety of my career. While my strongest style is jazz, I also have plenty of experience in classical performance, Latin style, musical theater, and pop. My students find success if they want it. I've taught privately for most of the last ten years and have helped many friends find answers. I am looking forward to helping you achieve your musical goals!
