While obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at North Central University, I studied music performance for two years. Specializing in piano and vocals, I myself have been taking lessons for the past twenty years. I offer lessons for the beginner to intermediate level. My time leading worship at River Valley Church has helped me grow as a musician and song writer, as well as given me experiences and opportunities to train other musicians to play in the larger concept of a band. Students can expect lessons that are interesting and engaging, as well as challenging for their level. As someone with a degree in elementary education, working with students to develop a skill in music is something that I am very passionate about. I also believe I have the proper knowledge and experience to keep students and engaged and interactive with the lesson material. My strength is in developing the beginner piano student, teaching music theory and basic skills. Beyond that I am able to develop a musician to work with, and eventually lead a team of musicians.
