Above everything else, I am a musician. I grew up in the hills of eastern Kentucky surrounded by a family driven by music. Both my grandfather and father performed professionally in their youth, so it is no surprise that I followed in their footsteps--althoughI took a more classical approach. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a two Bachelors of Music degrees: Music Industry and Flute Performance where I am the former Principal Flute for the Eastern Kentucky Symphony Orchestra. My flute students can expect to improve week to week in their overall technique. I believe each student plays with a unique timbre; I teach students to release built up tension and apply foundational techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I can help any student to play with freedom, confidence, and expression. I am always willing to teach students of all different ages and experience levels. My personal passion is symphonic music but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!
