I have provided IoT solutions for environmental, agricultural, and “smart cities” projects, prototyped products using digital fabrication tools, including 3D printers and CNCs, acted as team lead on numerous software analysis and web development projects, launched and managed the first hackerspace and mobile makerspace in Egypt, taught interdisciplinary tech/art workshops, and coached parkour on an individual and team level.
My flexible approach to each project, from building an IoT solution to writing tech education curricula, comes from my wide-ranging skill-set and learning from diverse workplaces - ISPs, hackerspaces, fab labs, software companies, gyms, and movie sets alike.

Excellent, very patient and professional
My kids have a lot of fun!
Patient with children.
Good with kids, totally focused on safety first, but works them hard with lots of repetition to see that they are getting it, with good technique.
Tarek was very patient with my sons. They had a great time with him.
Great advanced lesson for my 11 year old. Highly recommended! We'll be booking regular lessons.
My 5 year old son is usually averse to trying anything new with a stranger, especially if it involves a physical activity. Tarek was able to put my son at ease almost instantly and he built a great rapport and trust immediately. As a result, my son was totally into the parkour activities and soon realized how much fun it can be! They were out in the backyard for over an hour and we're having so much fun, my 2 year old daughter de used to join them as well!
I would highly recommend Tarek for a host of reasons:
- Establishes great rapport with kids and makes them feel at ease
- Lets kids have fun but with strong focus on safety
- Let's kids learn at their own pace
Tarek is a focused, safe and fun parkour instructor and I would highly recommend him for kids and adults.
