Hi there! I'm Steve, a passionate drum teacher and artist based in Northborough, MA. I offer lessons at my studio, and I'm also happy to travel to your home or conduct lessons via Skype or FaceTime. I've been playing drums since I was 10, and I started teaching in 2000. Drumming has always been a significant part of my life, and I want to pass on this amazing connection to others. My ultimate goal for each of my students is to help them discover the drummer that lives within them. I aim to ignite their passion for music and enable them to create a unique sound that resonates with them, inspiring them to continue drumming throughout their lifetime. When it comes to teaching, I tailor each lesson to the individual's goals. In the first lesson, I assess where you are at and what you are looking for. From there, I focus on four key aspects: technique, independence, groove, and musicianship. I incorporate both classic drum books and extensive playing along with music to enhance your learning experience. Additionally, I have two drum sets for demonstration purposes. I teach students of all ages, from school-aged kids to retirees and lifelong learners, regardless of their skill level – from beginners to advanced players.
