About Stacey A.
Hi!
My name is Stacey. I recently graduated VanderCook College of Music. At VanderCook, professional musicians and teachers train you to learn 17 different instruments and be able to teach them on a beginner level. In addition to that, we are also required to participate in Choir, Orchestra, and Band. My main instrument is guitar, but I have been taking secondary lessons in voice. I have been playing guitar since I was 12 and there is nothing that I love more than to play and teach guitar. I would love to share my passion of music with you.
*** Lesson Details ***
When I am first introduced to a new student, I first find out what kind of learning style best fits their needs. Each student learns differently and I believe it is important to figure out how the student learns best.
My lessons are structured like this:
-Rhythm Activity
-Note Reading or Tab
-A song of his/her choice (which will help with rhythm, chords, and strum patterns).
If a student is just starting out with reading music, I use note cards to help with reading notes on the treble clef.
*** Studio Equipment ***
-Multiple Guitars- Classical, Acoustic, and Electric.
-Guitar Stands
-Multiple Guitar Amps for teacher and student
-Keyboard to better teach music theory
-iPod for recording or playing music
-Stereo for CD's when learning songs
*** Travel Equipment ***
-Does Not Travel
*** Specialties ***
-Classical Guitar
-Rock Guitar
-Pop Guitar
-Voice
-Music Theory
