Hi there I am a jazz musician and composer from Australia. I write jazz and pop/funk songs and classical music. I am also well known as a keyboard player who specializes in synthesizers and instruments like Hammond Organ and Fender Rhodes. 
As well as teaching the fundamentals of reading music and improvisation I like to help students compose music and learn music technology like cubase , protools and garage band.  Being classically trained , and having attended some of the worlds best jazz schools and teachers I have a deep respect for musical foundations. I like my students even the little ones to learn to read music and some music theory. I have a unique personalized "fun" system for teaching chords and scales.  Being Australian the chords that have black notes on the outside and the white notes on the inside I like to call the "Vegemite sandwhich" keys.  F sharp major I named after the New Zealand rugby union team and don't be surprised if we perform a "Haka" and a blues in F# at the same time. I try to make the lessons fun and engaging and base them on the goals of the student. I enjoy teaching students of all ages and interests from 5 and up. Whether you want to brush up on your Bach or play the Blues like Basie then I am happy to help!
