As a professional musician who has pursued the guitar as a dream for much of my life, I feel incredibly indebted to the community of musicians who helped me find the resources needed to turn this vision into a reality. Because of this, I feel equally indebted to the younger generation and my peers around me to help those who wish to share in this gift of music we are each born with. While in college, I lived and went on to work professionally in Nashville as a guitarist. With a bustling scene of some of the world’s best guitarists, I studied everything from country to classical, funk to flamenco, often performing more than 10 times a week during full time classes. Though my career as a guitar student humbly begins in the jazz and blues-rich metropolitan area of St. Louis, it has culminated in my recent relocation to Los Angeles where I have begun an active teaching studio. With the many positive and negative memories of guitar education fresh in my memory, I have dedicated myself to becoming a teacher who takes the time to listen to and understand his students. By knowing the true desires and needs of each individual student, I am committed to using my knowledge and experience to benefit the individual student in the best way I can.
