Volunteer work at Columbia intermediate on 11/11/16 ,distributing food packets and boxes to kids and their families. Volunteer work at Ashburton Elementary school Bethesda Maryland for their spring fling festival on Saturday the 13th of May 2017.

Primary to the course content was the necessary experience of being an online learner, which all participants gained in this completely online course. Course content focused on different facets of a successful online language course, such as creating community, national standards for course development, teacher readiness to teach online, and choosing appropriate technology tools for communicative-based activities. Participants experienced and developed a variety of online activity types (oral/written, synchronous/asynchronous) for the 3 communication modes (interpretive/interpersonal/presentational). In addition to exploring these aspects of teaching online, participants saw these concepts in action, modeled in the course itself and in a model Russian activity series. Participants created an ePortfolio with items produced in the course as a final project.
