I am a new teacher. But I have a breadth of experience that makes me fit for the job. I hold a degree in Theatre Performance from the University of Michigan, as well as a certificate in Classical Acting from the British American Drama Academy. I have worked professionally in theatre and commercials across the country. Most importantly, I have gone through the college audition process, and know firsthand the level of preparation and commitment it takes to be successful. As a recent graduate of theatre school, I know what programs are looking for. If pursuing theatre in college is of interest to you, I would love to help you with your journey! To me, acting is an exercise in empathy. It's about connecting to one's own creative impulses and freedom in order connect with others. At the same time, it's about paying attention to others, listening with body and mind, and letting stimuli active our imaginations. My approach is all about freedom and discovering a sense of play. I believe the best kind of performance exists when the performer is enjoying themself. I find that kind of energy to be infectious and inspiring. So no matter what, enjoyment is my number one goal!
