Hello. I'm a cellist - conservatory graduate - offering cello lessons. I teach a wide range of students from young children just starting the instrument, to adults picking up the cello as a second instrument, to teenagers working on advanced repertoire. I emphasis natural, effortless playing, which I explain in simple, easy steps. I also work to help each student discover their own musical voice through singing and other approaches to feeling and expressing music. As a performer, I've played everything from classical recitals to baroque chamber concerts to recordings with songwriters. I've performed with Boston Ballet and other area orchestras and regularly perform solo and chamber concerts. I also have some experience with improvisation, arranging, and composition. *** Travel Equipment *** I can provide some sheet music, though students usually purchase music books and pieces eventually.
