Please check back in the summer for availability! Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education, choral emphasis, at California State University, Fullerton in 2010. She continued her education at CSUF, earning a single-subject California Teaching Credential in Music, and has been working full-time in secondary education since 2011. Michelle has been the Upper School music teacher at Temecula Preparatory School since 2013, where she directs five choirs, teaches academic music courses, and co-directs musical theatre productions. She has also directed an advanced high school community chorus with the San Diego North Coast Singers, called Capella, since 2008. She can frequently be found conducting for Fine Arts Network's musicals and operas in Old Town Temecula. Professionally, Michelle sings with the San Diego Pro Arte Voices, and has recorded and performed with the Choral Arts Initiative in Orange County. Michelle has been in choirs consistently since 1993, and has studied private voice and piano for more than 20 years. At CSU Fullerton, she studied conducting and music education, and was a member of four of the university's esteemed choral ensembles, including the University Singers, Concert Choir, Jazz Singers, and Women's Choir. She held section leader positions in both the Concert Choir and Women’s Choir. With the CSUF University Singers, she performed with many well-known figures, such as Andrea Bocelli, Dale Warland, Beck, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eric Whitacre, Nintendo, and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Michelle is an active member of the American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA) and the Southern California Vocal Association (SCVA). She has adjudicated auditions for several SCVA honor choirs. Michelle also composes and arranges choral music, and her compositions have been performed by the San Diego North Coast Singers several times. She regularly composes and arranges pieces for many different types of choirs.
