Students can expect an individualized lesson catered to their needs and skills.  My studio is a positive place where a love of music is paramount.  I have a diverse library with a variety of music that will capture my students interest.
    Students can expect challenges, focused attention, and technical expertise to aid in their growth as musicians.  We will cover a wide breadth of topics such as proper hand positions, rhythm, intonation, embouchure control, and reading music.

Music and teaching are my two passions!  I am an elementary school teacher in Newport News, Virginia and have 17 years experience with the flute.  I earned my degree from Christopher Newport University and have taught lessons since 2005.
    My studio is a positive place where students of all ages can learn not just a love of music, but also refine their techniques and build upon a strong musical foundation. 
    I welcome all students and have experience teaching a wide range of individuals as an educator.  I individualize my lessons for each student and can work with beginning through advanced musicians.
