HI, My name is Michael. I have had a love of music since about 5 years old when I became curious about 45rpm records that my Mom owned. I listened to music from the 1950's like Elvis, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, and countless others. I was totally hooked on music from then. I spent my youth learning to play the guitar and I knew that I wanted to be involved with music for the rest of my life. My next door neighbor was Danny Quinn, who gave me a few lessons and from there I taught myself. I absorbed everything I could listen to, read or watch that involved music. Throughout elementary and high school, I participated in everything and anything musical. There's more to the story, so keep checking back! *** Lesson Details *** Students should expect to have fun but also to be challenged. I am fair and understanding, but I expect the student to put forth their best effort and take music study seriously. After a few months of lessons, students will know basic chords, the elements of music notation and rhythm, notes and how to find them on the fingerboard, strumming and playing techniques. Also, I would expect the student to at least to have learned a few easy pieces from start to finish with no interruption. *** Studio Equipment *** Acoustic and electric guitar 12 string pa amplifier microphone recording equipment instruction books cds albums cassettes mandolin *** Travel Equipment *** Music stand, books, guitar if necessary, student should have interest and enthusiasm *** Specialties *** Acoustic christian rock classic rock, metal, folk, blues, you name it! If I don't know it I will learn it!
