Learn from a touring and session Keys/Organ/Piano player

With 10 years of experience playing keyboards in touring, studio, and compositional settings across diverse styles like Rock, Jazz, Blues, Soul, Funk, RnB, Reggae and Folk, I have honed my skills and understanding of the instrument's many roles. This extensive experience has equipped me with mastery over essential elements such as technique, color, and harmonic interplay, as well as more nuanced aspects like improvisation, textural movement and counterpoint. My teaching style is adaptive and tailored to the unique needs of each student. Music is a vast and varied field, and I strive to create a learning environment that not only accommodates individual goals but also encourages pushing boundaries, exploring new concepts, and connecting new knowledge with existing skills. I focus on a step-by-step, hands-on approach to ensure thorough understanding and skill development. My course content covers crucial aspects of music including keyboard layout and navigation, music theory, and comping. As students progress, we delve into chord melody, melodic development, and improvisation, providing a comprehensive and enriching learning experience. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, my goal is to help you develop your keyboard playing to its fullest potential, fostering both technical proficiency and creative expression.

Starting something new or figuring out how to take it to the next level can be difficult to identify. I have been teaching since I was 16 to children in Elementary school, later in college I worked as a museum guide to educate visitors and help them make their own ideas of contemporary art, and lastly I became a tutor for Berklee College of Music, aiding students with software and hardware solutions. There is always a way to learn something and make it fun, otherwise, it won't stick as well! I am here to help you find that. Fun in learning!
