About Meggie G.
4.7
(4)
I am extremely patient, compassionate and empathetic with my students. I am also very good at understanding their needs and that not every student learns the same way. I will drive students to get the best possible work out of them. I truly believe in my students. In my dialect coaching I focus equally on the physical structure of your voice and mouth such as pitch, resonance placement, and melody as well as using good source materials as a base for students to listen to. I also use my own voice to help with call and response exercises.

I worked with Meggie as a Stage Manager on The Basset Table by Susanna Centlivre. The play has a wide range of English dialects from high society to servants and commoners. Meggie worked with the actors in groups and individually to help them form the dialect along with their characters. Every actor got a demo recording to listen to to help as well. If actors were particularly struggling she would talk to them about it privately and work with them one on one. She's patient and wiling to work with people who put in the effort to learn.

Meggie is a talented and knowledgeable leader in all aspects of theater. She's a strong and creative presence to be around, and I've loved watching her direct. She's helped me grow in such a short period of time and her passion is contagious. She leads the way for women in the performing arts industry and shines an important light on issues facing them throughout the years and today. I highly recommend! :)

I was lucky to be an actor in a period play Meggie directed. Her expertise really helped give me the confidence I needed to shine in my role.
