Dance with Meg G.

I love helping people feel safe, at ease and in love with moving their bodies. I started dancing at 11, and trained with a pre-professional modern dance company in Atlanta, and danced in NYC in the summers. I learned early on I was more interested in a hybrid dance model that engaged my body, mind and spirit. Incorporating intuitive movements, moments of reflection, and enjoyment was more important than just "getting the moves right." As a choreographer, I started creating spaces I wish existed when I was younger, body-positive, LGBTQ affirming, sacred spaces. I'm a modern dancer at heart, having trained with the Limon Company, Doug Varone and Dancers, and the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange teaching me the power of social justice in dance. Most recently I've been taking twerking classes because it's just fun to move my body and let loose.
