I am a professional school counselor, who is passionate about social emotional learning and making learning fun! I graduated from Penn State University with a bachelors in elementary education, and Liberty University with a masters in School Counseling. After teaching first grade, I moved over into being a school counselor where I can reach students of all ages and spread the love of literacy and teaching tolerance. Reading strategies, fluency and comprehension can also be heightened by incorporating interesting topics and personal connections into reading instruction. I can teach students to not only read, but enjoy the process as well. As a professional school counselor, I love sharing social emotional learning strategies as well a mindful exercises with students through content to help prepare them for bright futures, I have presented at numerous technology in education conferences surrounding social emotional learning and the benefits for young children as they grown in this fast paced world. I love combining social emotional learning topics into reading materials to not only help students grow as readers, but learn how to be kind humans along the way.
