Lisa G. received her degree in Musical Theater with a Concentration in Vocal Performance from Missouri Baptist University. She has performed in many shows all around the St. Louis are since 2004 and been performing most of her life in shows, show choirs, large touring choirs, jazz ensembles, theater & improv troops and more. Have any auditions coming up? Solo & Ensemble, All District, show auditions, theater auditions etc. Lisa has taken many "How to Audition" classes and taught them as well! Lisa had the wonderful opportunity to perform in New York City in May of 2012 along side a few Broadway stars including Jeff Shade (Bob Fosse's student), Melissa Rae Mahon (starring in Broadway's Chicago) and Judy Kuhn (Voice of Disney's Pocahontas and original Cosette in Les Miserables on Broadway). Lisa has led many Musical Theater and Acting Work shops as well as How to Audition workshops. Lisa is also the lead female vocalist in the acoustic pop cover band, Never 2 Late. Lisa is full of life and enthusiasm for music and acting! She teaches almost any genera of music including Classical, Pop, R&B, Country, & more! Lisa specializes in Musical Theater/ Broadway, Jazz, & the "Disney Sound". She has been taking piano since she was a small child and has been teaching piano for 4 years. Lisa enjoys working with people of all ages! She loves helping others musical and performing gifts grow as well as their love for music! *** Lesson Details *** I am a very laid back person however I'll make sure you get things done! It doesn't matter what you'd like to do with your music I can help you get there and reach your goals! I use two different curricula for piano: Alfred Piano Book Series and Faber Piano Book Series. Also to help motivate I let kids bring in a song or two they would like to play maybe from a movie or a pop song (it also depends on their level). For voice I usually let you bring in books you already have or if you don't have any I'll choose some based on what you'd like to learn in voice whether it be classical, broadway, jazz etc. *** Studio Equipment *** In home piano. *** Specialties *** I can start piano or voice at a very young age. Students will learn music theory with piano, vocal technique and performance with voice, and how to really be convincing while acting.
