Flute with Lesia M.

I moved to the US from the Ukraine 5 years ago, where I graduated from the Kharkov State University of Arts with Bachelor degree in music arts and was qualified as orchestra and ensemble player and teacher of flute and ensemble. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience. I taught flute and ensemble playing, provided music activity for children from 4 years old and up. My students participated in concerts and competitions. I also had an experience working in, the Orchestra of the Dnipropetrovsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Ukraine, where I had a role of the second flute and piccolo. While I was working in the theater, I played in such performances as "Swan Lake", "Sleeping Beauty", "The Nutcracker" by P. Tchaikovsky, "The Wedding of Figaro" by V.А. Mozart . My specialty is a classic, but I am familiar with different styles of music and even played in a reggae band when I was at university and as a teacher, I have always focused on the student's personality. I can work with beginner and intermediate students In a group or private and provide a friendly and individual approach to each student In developing flute playing skills: tone, posture, techniques, music theory and basic improvisation skills.
