I aim to create a fun, comfortable space for students to develop a solid foundation upon which to sing with more freedom. I am grateful to guide students in exploring their voice, musical style, and expression. 

Generally, lessons consist of:
 - warm ups and exercises to target specific vocal techniques
 - applying techniques to the selected songs (which we collaborate on choosing)
 - reviewing how singing throughout the week is going and discussing questions and progress
 - weekly exercise routines / recordings to practice with in between lessons

However, I am flexible and cater to each student’s age, comfort, goals, and style preferences. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions.

Hello! My name is Lauren! Thanks for taking the time to check out my page. 

I graduated in 2017 from university with a B.A. in Music and have been teaching beginning-intermediate students of all ages since then. I also have and am currently pursuing writing and releasing original music. 

I utilize my formal education as well as the discoveries I have made in my own vocal growth as a springboard to help students use their voice in a healthy and free manner.

I was a bit nervous for my first singing lesson ever. I am 24 years old and Lauren was welcoming and gave me amazing notes to work on for the week. She even wrote out a detailed lesson plan specifically for what I needed to work on! She is fun, patient, and a phenomenal teacher. I would highly recommend her to everyone!

Outstanding teacher! We have had multiple lessons for my daughter and Lauren is exceptional at teaching our 10 year old. She breaks the information down for her understanding. She is very focused and organized during the lessons as well. The time is utilized to its max. We have already seen improvement and my daughter looks forward to the lessons with an eagerness to learn more. Lauren creates a personalized lesson specifically to address our specific needs and I like that she incorporates our long and short terms goals into the lesson. She also communicate very well outside the lesson times with a detailed listen of things to practice between lessons.  I really don't know anything that I would change about the learning process. We look forward to many more lessons.  One last thing Lauren can sing like an angel so when she is teaching, she really knows what she is talking about because she can really singing like a pro.

Lauren gave the best first lesson!  She is patient, encouraging, and offers excellent tools and tips.  As someone new to singing, Lauren couldn't have been a better place to get started.  Her after-lesson notes are great for going back to and added easy to follow exercises and reference tools.  Looking forward to many more lessons with Lauren!

Everything went well. I’m usually a pretty quiet person but she made me feel comfortable with everything.

Lauren is an excellent teacher for my 8-year-old! My kiddo struggles with focus and Lauren is so patient and has great energy to match her enthusiasm, yet still keeps on track. My daughter LOVES her singing lessons with Lauren and looks forward to them. She's very talented at describing musical and singing concepts at the level my daughter can understand them and apply to her own singing.

Lauren is very professional and really knows how to teach singing. I took a singing class and quit because while parts of it were good, overall it felt like a burden. But classes with Lauren are fun and kind of exciting. 

Lauren was great! Can't wait for more lessons with her. Lots of great tips for things I can do at home on my own and education without going overboard. Plus she made it way less stressful/nerve wrecking than I expected. And, of course, she has an amazing voice.
