Although Kyla is very nice and I could see her being a good acting teacher there were a-lot of issues. Late almost every-time and often seemed frazzled or caught off guard for my lesson. She was helpful with her acting technics for the first couple of lessons once we got into it, but then I took a week off for a vacation. She bumped the prices double the cost and did not inform me as a student. When I came back and was ready to purchase my next set, that we had already discussed a date and time, I noticed the price increase and questioned her. It was difficult for me to understand why she did not inform her current students of a price increase (and a big one at that). I was very clear with her in pervious lessons where I stood financially and that this was an investment already. Although she isn't an "expensive" teacher being a college student made this transition difficult. I was able to look past some of the other issues but the miscommunication between students was a NO WAY for me. Unfortunately, although she has potential as a good teacher she did not handle my lessons professionally.+ Read More
Kyla was awesome. She helped me prepare for a role I had in a play. She taught each lesson with care and was always prepared. She researched my character before the lesson to understand ways to help me. She helped me decode each scene for maximum effect. Kyla was committed to helping me with my role and for that I am grateful. I received many accolades after the show. Her encouraging words, bright, positive, energetic attitude and great advice helped me tremendously.+ Read More
Kyla is absolutely amazing. She was patient, thorough, and invested in my progress during my lessons with her. Most importantly, she created a safe environment for me to allow myself to grow. She's the best of the best!
Kyla really knows what she's doing. I regularly go to her for performance help and never fails to provide constructive criticism and great suggestions for character development and script analysis. She also superb at teaching audition techniques! You will definitely feel more comfortable on the stage or in an audition room when you have Kyla as a teacher!+ Read More
