About Kimberly S.

Hi! My name is Kim and I'm so excited to work with you! I am an award winning writer with my MFA in screenwriting from DePaul University. I also trained as an actor in Meisner, Chekhov, and Improv techniques. I have been coaching actors & writers since 2016. I work with adults & children 6+, beginners & professionals. I have worked on audition sides for TV (Law & Order, Narcos, Disney, SMILF, etc), independent films, big budget studio films, web series, off broadway plays, off off broadway plays, monologues, and anything in between! If you have questions about story structure, what it's like being on set, the different jobs on set, what you should know before an audition, I'm here to help you navigate this confusing and overwhelming industry. I have been trained by exceptional teachers in: Improv (UCB & Second City), Linklater (voice), Williamson (movement), film/tv & theater, script analysis, theater & film history, cold reading, monologue, stand-up comedy, etc. I have also been mentored by the legendary standup comedian Rick Crom. I can also work with the actor, writer, filmmaker or comedian on the business aspect of their career: how can I get the best headshot?, what things should I be doing everyday to reach my acting goals?, how do I get in front of this specific casting director/producer/etc?, what events/workshops should I be attending? We can go over all that plus how to deal with nerves, get through personal blocks, fear-related patterns, and other things that may be holding you back from being the best artist you can be! I believe training is so important so congratulations on taking the first step towards a successful, exciting career! I can't wait to share my passions with you! I am also happy to be a reader/coach for your self tape! Due to COVID, I will be reading via video chat, which works just as well as an in person reader. I can help with your eye line, framing, acting, etc. We can use this as a tool to improve or for an audition. We can also chose your best take together. OTHER SERVICES: Script Coverage 20 PAGES & UNDER: $60 21-60 PAGES: $90 61-120 PAGES: $120 Self Tape written feedback ONE ROUND: $30 TWO ROUNDS: $40 THREE ROUNDS: $50 LESSON RECOMMENDATIONS: 60 minutes = MOST POPULAR.
