I am a professional actress, dancer, writer and comedian in Chicago. I graduated with my Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Acting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am also an alumni of both Second City and iO theater. Theater is a vulnerable art form and I strive to create an environment in which my students can feel safe and supported. I teach students how to connect with their imagination so that they can easily access true life within a scene. My students can expect to improve week to week in their vocal technique, movement training, and scene study. Acting is the art of being human. I firmly believe that as long as you are human, you have the tools you need to be a successful actor. I am also a professional dancer. I specialize in tap, jazz, and beginner ballet. Movement and acting are very closely connected. Also, as a working professional it is beneficial to have a variety of skills in addition to acting. Therefore, dance lessons are also a service I provide. I have been dancing for 18 years, and teaching it for 5. I specialize in teaching youngsters, ages 3-7, but I am open to students of all ages! Entertainment is a difficult field, and there is not a single path to success. I have been fortunate enough to have been represented professionally since my college graduation in 2016. I attribute this to the internship I took in 2014, when I worked with The Chasin Agency in Los Angeles, CA. I used what I learned from that internship to navigate my way through the industry here in Chicago. In the past year I have been able to get three of my students representation here in town through branding techniques via headshot and resume. If you are ready to grow as an artist, and apply your skills towards a profession, I am ready to teach you!

Kimberly is very professional, maintaining an agenda that requires the right amount of prep. for each exercise. I learned a great deal and would highly recommend her.

Kim has incredible in depth knowledge about the craft of acting. Not only has she helped my performance get better and better, but her knowledge of the industry has guided me down the path of success. I always go to Kim with any questions or advice I may need because I have come to trust her with all things acting and performance. What I love best about working with Kim is you can tell she loves what she does. She is a no-nonsense type of gal and will tell you what you need to hear to get better. You can see her passion for her work in everything she does. She has a lot of knowledge and skill to share. If you are trying to get more serious with acting and performance, or just want to learn in a fun environment, I highly recommend working with Kim!

Kimberly has extensive experience in the Chicago improv and theatre community which made our session so worthwhile. Not only was she able to share helpful acting techniques, but she was able to answer questions regarding the "business" side of the industry. We have also worked on writing projects together and her understanding of comedy and timing is enviable. Love her!

    The Alba Method Association

I have studied an acting technique called The Alba Method of Emotion. This is a technique that specializes in taking actors in and out of emotional states through an "outside-in" approach. This means, that unlike other acting techniques that require the actor to dig into their mentality, the Alba method strictly utilizes breath, facial expression and posture to enter and exit emotional patterns.
