I have 2 years of private teaching experience, and I am constantly developing my teaching method and lesson plan. I have been playing for 9 years, and have taken lessons myself for 5 of those 9 years from three different very qualified instructors whom I was very fortunate to have to opportunity to work with as their passion for teaching along with their teaching mechanics have been inevitably passed down to me to be passed down to others. I play in a band as the lead guitarist. I play and teach anything from blues/rock guitar, both solo improv, songwriting and rhythm. To classical guitar, music reading and songwriting. I write my own classical music and have been reading music for 7 years. No matter if you want to learn the fundamentals of reading music and playing classical guitar, or if you want to learn how to play on an electric guitar, I can teach you. If you want to improvise the blues like Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Gary Rossington, or any of your guitar idols, I can, and have, transcribed nearly any licks by ear and teach them to you, If you are stuck improvising in one area of the pentatonic scale, I can show you how to encompass the entire fretboard in your improvising to create dynamic and climactic guitar solos. If you just want to learn how to strum chords, I can teach you any chords and their different voicings on the fretboard, I can teach you to take apart chords and form them elsewhere on the fretboard. We will always start with the fundamentals, and if you are a player with experience I will review shortly the fundamentals, because without a good foundation for your playing, you will find a glass ceiling that will limit your playing. I will do my very best to have you progressing at a speed that is comfortable, yet challenging with you. And if you are determined and have a strong will to practice I have no doubt that I can advance you and your playing as far you would like to go.
