Alexander Technique Teacher - Balance/Breathing/Movement/Voice - Improve Performance & Relieve Pain w/ Lessons in The Alexander Technique. The Process is comprised of 3 Interlocking Skills: Body Awareness, The Ability to undo Excess Tension & The Use of Thought Rather than Muscular Resolve to Promote Efficient Movement. She teaches these skills w/ a Unique Touch that Elicits Awareness, Muscular Release & The Body's Capacity to find its own inherent Balance & Avoid Injury. For 20+ Years, she has been incorporating the Technique into her musical & theatrical pursuits. In 2001, Karina earned her B.A. from Columbia University. And in 2009, She was certified as an Alexander Technique Teacher by ACAT & AmSAT. She has taught this work to performing artists, athletes & other professionals in New York City & Philadelphia. Karina is a faulty member of The Arts & Community Network in Pennsylvania where she enjoys teaching at their many 'string bootcamps' and Music Festivals.

Jan 2009The American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) is the largest professional association of certified Alexander Technique teachers in the United States.The requirements for AmSAT teacher certification are specified in AmSAT's Bylaws and include the completion of 1,600 hours of training over a minimum of three years at an AmSAT-approved Teacher Training Course. AmSAT Teacher Training Courses maintain a five-to-one student/teacher ratio.
