My pride is directing performance-based drama worked out in hundreds of commercials I’ve directed for leading agencies in North America and abroad. Starting with the BBC for eight years as a documentary filmmaker, I favor careful observational, casting, and performance to mine the subtleties of human interactions. I specialize in casting, and performance, revealing the inner workings of character. Whether directing commercials for leading agencies in North America and abroad, or as a documentary filmmaker, writer and director I focus on the emotional realities underpinning any story. Honored at Cannes, AICP, ANDY, Clio, the One Show, the Emmy’s and the D&AD, my awards include four Cannes Lions, four AICP awards, and five Clios. I worked as a writer-director for two years at Comedy Central, the John Stewart Show, and on over 200 documentaries for the BBC as a researcher or associate producer, and director. It is at the BBC where I gained experience casting people for documentaries ranging from a series on the New South, to Child Preachers, to Death Row. I have directed 700 or so tve ads for Nike, Adidas, Mercedes, Visa, Budweiser and Pepsi, to name a few. My specialty is character and dialogue, with lots of comedy experience.
