Become a Top-Notch Writer With a Patient and Experienced Tutor
I studied creative writing in college and earned my bachelor's degree in the subject, but my love for the art started much earlier. I first started writing when I was only nine years old and it quickly became an obsession of mine. I loved creating new worlds, crafting complex characters, and making these stories come to life! I've written and studied poetry, short stories, novels, and I love to explore different genres. I would love to help you develop your creative writing voice and improve your own poems or stories. I have a vast collection of different writing prompts and creative writing exercises and if you're already working on your own project (or you've got one in mind), I'd be happy to help you with the writing or editing process! Whether you're into poetry, writing short stories, or sitting down for the long haul of writing a novel, I'd love to help you improve your skills and perfect your art!

About Jessica U.

Hello, I'm Jessica! I can't wait to help you learn more about chess! I've been teaching at the Los Angeles Chess Club and through private lessons for almost two years now and I love watching my students improve. I've been playing chess for many years now and I spend multiple hours a day improving my skills. I know personally what it's like to be both a childhood and an adult learner of chess, and the difficulties involved learning at each age. Within the chess community, there are predetermined notions of how much certain groups (mainly female and adult learners) can achieve, but I believe placing an upward limit on our improvement is greatly detrimental to our growth as players. With the correct guidance and the right amount of encouragement, anyone can become a fantastic player of chess!
