I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2004 with my Bachelor of Science in Music-Piano Performance. During my time at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, I was an active member of Symphony Band, Wind Ensemble, University Singers, and Concert Choir. I served as the accompanist for University Singer and Concert Choir for three years. Also, during my time in Platteville, I worked with many of the local middle school and high school choir and band programs as their accompanist. On campus, I served as an solo accompanist for university student recitals for five years. I have 15 years of experience in teaching and 10 of those years have been spent teaching private piano lessons. I operated private piano studios in Platteville, Montello, and most recently in Kenosha. During that time, my average enrollment was 30 students. Age and ability levels varied greatly, but the majority of my students started as beginners and progressed to intermediate ability during their time with me. My students performed in student recitals twice a year and also competed in The Piano Guild. I also enjoyed giving my students the opportunity to play together and sometimes I would arrange opportunities for duets and trios. I currently work as the choir accompanist for Westosha Central High School and also as the Show Band Director for the extra-curricular band that plays backup to the Show Choir. My current role also includes playing piano for the yearly musical and accompanying our Class A instrumental and vocal students at our yearly Solo/Ensemble Festival. I also occasionally assist local grade school music programs as their accompanist as needed. I have a great passion for teaching students to play the piano! My emphasis is on learning correct technique from the very beginning, but also on finding music that students love to play. I incorporate music theory and history into every lesson and utilize technology tools to assist in ways that each individual student will best learn. I would love to speak with you more about my lessons and get you started!

We have four children and only one of them had the blessing of learning from Jennifer. Our son began lessons when he was in fourth grade and continued until seventh grade. The only reason he stopped at that time was because Jennifer and her family moved out of the area. He was always willing to do what she asked and enjoyed learning from her. Jennifer was always patient and encouraging, motivating him to give that extra effort. Jennifer is very knowledgeable and fully able to teach both beginners and accomplished musicians.

Jennifer was hands down the best Piano instructor that I had ever had! Prior to working with Jennifer I bounced around to several difference instructors and I was never very happy with any of them. Jennifer will work with you no matter what skill level you are at. I couldn't recommend her more!

3 of my children have taken lessons from Jennifer. The oldest was a boy and took lesson at least 10 years. He has gone on to a music career. Jennifer is very qualified and experienced in teaching piano to all ages. She used various ways to motivate, encourage and challenge my kids as they progressed in their piano abilities. I would highly recommend her to any one who wants to learn to play the piano or is looking for a piano teacher for their children.
