I would like to share a review I wrote for Jennifer's acting coach business when she lived in near me, gosh this must have been 3 years ago now. Please note: it is unfair to say she was “only” an acting coach, she is an "everything" coach. (You should add that in your drop-down) Also, we went to her studio and did online as well.
Anyway here it is:
I can't say it enough, my daughter loves this woman and so do I!!
We found her at a time when we were on the verge of giving up hope that my daughter would ever be in the position she is in now.
Jennifer has been an extraordinary teacher, mentor, and adviser to my daughter over the last year.
We have been impressed with her dedication to teaching not just in the art but in the business aspects of the field as well.
She has also been very active in introducing the people in her network to my daughter. I believe because of her encouragement and advice, my daughter is on her way to reaching her goals as a Stage Actor.
We have learned so much about this trade in just the last year, from the different types of talent to workshops to college choices.
The information and training Jennifer has provided to us has been instrumental in my daughter's decisions for her future role in the entertainment field.
I would recommend Jennifer for anyone interested in entertainment as a career path.
She gives the full view of what to expect and how to handle auditions, and unique situations, she even helps prepare for auditions. She has been a blessing to my daughter.
Now The update:
fast forward to 2019 - 4 years after we met Jennifer for the first time. My daughter has done 3 short films - one of which is in the running for the Sundance awards for 2019 which will be announced early 2020, cast in at least 4 Stage plays in rolls she wanted and auditioned for, competed in vocal competitions and won medals and awards, met directors, writers, film makers, actors currently working, and experienced firsthand the work and prep it takes to create and execute a clean film. She has even written and directed her OWN documentary.
You think that's exciting? Wait till you read this:
My daughter no longer wants to be a stage actor - oh no... She now wants to do it ALL!! Stage acting, TV acting, Big Screen acting, Musical Theater, back stage, behind the scene, directing, writing ... when I said everything - I really meant everything. Jennifer had sparked something in my daughter that ignited a dormant entertainment firefly and it hasn't stopped. She is soaring like a phoenix rising out of the ashes! (yea, ok a little dramatic, but you get me right?)
My daughter, now 19 years old - at 14 and 15 years old, did extensive research on colleges with Jennifer's guidance, in this field it's important to choose the right school - we visited 5 schools altogether - applied to 3 of her top choices and was accepted to all 3, but only 2 offering her the programs she wanted and with scholarships. She had to choose. Nothing makes you happier in this situation than having to choose right? Well, it took her 2 months to make a decision – both schools were top of the food chain good. She is now a proud student at AMDA New York working toward her goals, under some of the best Theatre arts, music, vocal, dance and Acting teachers on the East coast.
Her plan involves a phase II thanks to the extensive co-planning and guidance given by Jennifer Gregory, who involved us (parents) every step of the way. Phase II will be going to California to finish her BFA; focusing on Entertainment business and creative writing.
If not for Jennifer, my daughter would be on her way to being a liberal arts student - not knowing which direction her life would be taking and wondering if she will ever find her real passion. THANKS to Jennifer we were able to turn our daughter's childhood interest in to an adult passion and now she is living her best life.
We seriously could not have done it without Jennifer's talent, education, experience, and guidance. She is truly a blessing. I am so glad she moved AFTER my daughter graduated from high school and was already accepted into AMDA - we might have had to follow her otherwise.
So to say I would recommend her to anyone pursuing a career in Entertainment would be an understatement. Instead I will say - if you are interested in a career in the Entertainment field, YOU would be doing yourself or your child a disservice by not hiring Jennifer to teach you the ropes.
Be it as small as your phone screen or as big as the silver screen, I wish you well in your entertainment adventure.
