Marching Band Caption Head

I have been a private lesson teacher for 6 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance/Jazz Drumset from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I have the BMR marching band in Massachusetts to 3 National titles in the past 5 years, most of the kids had just started playing drums when they joined. They now are ranked top 10 in the country in their respective division. Have been playing professionally and Gigging for the past 4 years. I base each lesson plan on what the students personal goals are and what type of learner they are. I love teaching because it allows me to solidify the core values of drumming to myself and also gives me the chance to change the students life just like my teachers have done for me.

Hi, my name is Jason. I am a professional drummer in the Nashville area and have been teaching lessons for 6 years. Before moving to Nashville I lived in Boston Massachusetts while I finished school at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and got my degree in Music Performance/Jazz Drum Set. I love teaching and make each lesson plan specific to the students goals and what specific type of Learner they are. Lessons should be enjoyable and fun, not a strict “you must do this” environment, I find that is very detrimental to the learning process. I hope I can help my students the way my mentors have helped me and find what they love most about drums and music as a whole.
